Many years ago, I began the task of carving paths in the natural habitat that had become my backyard. With an eye to keep as many trees and plants as possible, I designed a series of curving walkways that meandered through the trees, bushes, and plants. When I learned that Raspberry was ill, I knew he would have a spot in the backyard. He loved being outside. He did not run free, but was taken on many walks along the paths. Little did I know that when I cleared the paths, I would be clearing a path for him. |
